About Us

Conventional medicine has been thinking about chronic pain and depression in entirely the wrong way. After years of research, we now know that conditions like chronic pain, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, chronic Lyme disease, long COVID, pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus (PANS/PANDAS), treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) are not diseases themselves, but symptoms of an immune-mediated neuroinflammatory condition. In other words, an inflamed brain or “brain on fire.”

The Foundation for Total Recovery, Inc. is a 501(c )(3) non-profit established in 2015 to help better understand, diagnose, treat, and prevent the progression of immune-mediated neuroinflammatory disease. We do this by providing important resources to help educate the medical field, researchers, patients and their caregivers on the latest information on these chronic conditions.
