The Tiny Valley of Belief

Split City

Split City

Porsgrunn is in no way a remarkable town, but the geographical location makes for a few interesting phenomena. When the weather goes from cold to warm the river releases steam which stays around in the valley.

Cold and damp days are not particularly pleasant, but every once in a while the visual aesthetics make up for it.

Irish Belief

Irish Belief

Found Jesus in a park in Dublin.

(Jesus was a classmate. He was not crucified; we went for a beer after peering at this cross. Lots of laughing, no stigmata.)

Water Crystals Packed Loosely

Water Crystals Packed Loosely

Water flows, no matter what phase it is in. Sometimes this translates well over in to photography.

What We See

What We See

From our living room in the teeny, tiny village where our ambitions for a bachelors degree have taken us.

Åpen Scene på Kroa Januar 2011

Åpen Scene på Kroa Januar 2011

Kroa i Bø has an open mike night every month. This time I was the designated photographer and the resulting set is on Flickr right here.

This time it also was a real spectacle with some.. well, let’s give those two guys on the right there the benefit of the doubt and say performance art. Good, clean fun all round.

Bench in Stavern

Bench in Stavern

We never got up to that bench.

Stavern Snow

Stavern Snow

There has been a fair bit of snow this winter. This is some of it.

Had a fairly crappy photowalk with Jostein a little while ago. None of us felt inspired at all and felt that we got nothing out of the trip except for cold feet and runny noses.

I do however force myself to look at and process pictures in Lightroom even if I feel they did not turn out well. After a couple hours I was quite please with my doctoring of initially mediocre photographs.

Have a Seat at Guinness

Have a Seat at Guinness

From the Guinness building. Took this on a class trip while perusing the history of the Guinness brewery through all of the visitor centre’s 7 floors. There is such a thing as too much Guinness!

Shoes how who why

Shoes how who why

I don’t know what this is.

Well: They are shoes.

Obviously.

What is not obvious is; what are they doing there, in that position?
Who put them there?
Why?
How?
And where can I buy a similar rack for my shoes?

Lausgrus #16

Lausgrus #16

Did some concert photos for Kroa, where students in tiny, little Bø go for som R&R. This night was “Lausgrus”, which brings new, up-and-coming bands onto the stage.

THe event is found at Kroaibo.no The bands were Atone and Scumbag Travelagency

Prague Curls

Prague Curls

Prague is supposedly one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. Here is more proof.

Melondad

Melondad

The mountains of Andalucia are as good a place to enjoy a melon as any other.

Delectable Tentacle

Delectable Tentacle

Everybody should eat a sandwich with tentacles sticking out of it at least once in their life.

Speechless Saviour

Speechless Saviour

A Speechless Saviour: I know none of the details in his story except that he used to be a fisherman and once, many years ago, he saved five children from drowning.

Since then he has been silent.
